Character of the editing

Document editing character

Chapter 1.

To make editing a document, other than the eraser with Delete and insert by typing text at the cursor position, you can use other buttons to be editing faster. The buttons that you can use to pick the text or (Block) as follows:

Keys To select text (Block)
Shift + ← One letter left
Shift + → A letter to right
Shift + ↑ One line up
Shift + ↓ One line down
Ctrl + Shift + ← Keawal words
Ctrl + Shift + → Keakhir words
Ctrl + Shift + ↑ One paragraph up
Ctrl + Shift + ↓ One paragraph down
Keakhir line Shift + End
Keawal line Shift + Home
Ctrl + Shift + End Keakhir document
Ctrl + Shift + Home Keawal document
Shift + Page Up One window up
Shift + Page Down One window down

Chapter. 2.

 Selecting the text (Block) with the Keyboard

To select text with the mouse it by:
To select Text Do it in a way
Drag any desired text
One word of Double Click on the word that you want to go.
One Line Click on the Selection Bar (left side of the left margin) if the mouse has changed to [] and then click.
One sentence in the selection Drag Bar when the mouse icon has changed to []
Several lines Hold Ctrl then drag the desired sentence
Paragraphs Double Click on the Selection Bar or click three times at the beginning of the paragraph
Drag a few paragraphs on the Selection Bar

 Selecting the text (Block) with Mouse

To deselect click disembarang place, edit the point delete, insert. To edit the text or objects using keyboard keys as follows:


Deleting one letter Backpace frame on the cursor or selected text (Block)
Ctrl + Delete one word Backpace frame on the cursor or selected text (Block)
Ctrl + Del Deletes word on the right of the cursor or selected text (Block)
Ctrl + X or Shift + Del Deletes the selected text and copied to the Clipboard
Restore Ctrl + Z Undo the last command given []
Ctrl + F3 Cutting and copying text or objects spike
Ctrl + C Copy text or object to the Clipboard
Ctrl + V Copy the contents of the Clipboard into the document at the cursor position
Ctrl + Shift + F3 Paste the Spike contents of the document at the cursor position

1. Countermand

If you make a mistake editing or wrongly gave the order, you can cancel the command Undu. To perform can choose menu Edit - Undo or just press Ctrl + Z or click the icon Undu []. Meanwhile, if you want to repeat a command or typing already at the Undo, Redo click the icon [].

2. Printing a Document on Screen

After a while we learned to type a document, save and edit, now let us learn how to print the document to the printer, diarankan you first see how the printout will by way of printing to the screen (Prin Preview). To do so select the menu File - Print Preview or you simply click the Preview icon [].

3. Order (format) Character

Typed characters can be arranged in accordance with the wishes, the order of characters that you can do on the text include:

v Changing the font (type / shape characters)

v Print special Bold, Italics, Underline and others

v Set the spacing between characters to make it more legible, or for special effects

v Changing colors

v Change the "Case" character, for example lower case can be uppercase or vice versa.

a. Choosing Fonts

To select a font, first selected (block) the text to be determined its font, the font change, there are several ways:

1) Select the menu Format - Font and select the Font menu and choose the desired font type.

2) Click the Toolbar Scroll Font on the Formatting toolbar and select the desired font and click

3) Can also by means of text Right-click on the blocked and then click Font, and Font dialog box will appear like Figure 2.1.

b. Selecting font size

To determine the size of the letters, you can use the font - Carater

1) Select the menu Format - Font Size and select the menu and choose the desired font size.

2) Click the Toolbar Scroll Font Size on the Formatting toolbar and then select it and click on the desired size

3) Can also by means of text Right-click on the blocked and then click Font, and Font dialog box will appear as

c. Determining Font Attributes

A part of the document, the form of characters, words sentences or paragraphs can be marked with a special print (attributes) such as bold (bold), italics (italic), and the underscore (underline) and others. To do this you can click the icon on the toolbar formatting the font attributes. Font attributes you can give is:

v Click the Bold icon for the bold

v Click the icon for the italic Italic

v Click the icon for Underline Underline

A more complete way is to use the format menu - font in the dialog box you can change the font style and font attributes you can provide special effects by clicking the desired option on the menu effects.

You can also use the keyboard short key combination (shortcut key) as follows:
Order Button
Bold Ctrl + B for bold
Italic Ctrl + I for italics
Underline Ctrl + U for Underline

d. Change the "Case"

If we want to change case of letters, eg small letters can be uppercase or vice versa. Way is:

1) Select or Highlight the text will be changed "case" it.

2) Click Format - Change Case dialog box will appear and Change Case.

3) After the Change Case dialog box you click on the choices we want, then click OK

2.5. Inserting Special Characters (Syimbol)

In your document, it may be often required arakter-special characters, for example: p, t, q, Æ, o, Î, É, Ê, B, Ω and others. Microsoft Word provides several special characters called Syimbol. The way to display the dialog box is select the Insert menu Syimbol-Syimbol or (Alt + I and S) and syimbol dialog box will appear as follows:

Once we select the desired character, then click the Insert (or simply Double Click on the desired character) followed by Close.
